Training Example
Depending on your pups needs a training session may include to
improve their Frustration Tolerance, at the beginning this is as
simple as waiting a moment for a treat with the goal of your dog to
be content to lay or sit before being released or given the treat.
This is different then most training of "wait" where the goal is for
the dog to wait, with Frustration Tolerance exercises (especially in
younger dogs) the goal is to develop the brain to handle greater and
greater frustrations. So once your dog can sit in confidence
and ease in your living room they can then wait for you in the car
or with lots distractions around and still be confident.
Another example is where we work around the horses and even learn
to wait for treats with the other animals, this enables your dog to
be comfortable in a very new experience and to wait their turn for
the treat.
