Dear Cindy,
Thank you for taking such good care of me while mom was on her business trip. While your web site talked about taking care of the emotional needs family pets like me, I think you were actually taking care of the emotional needs of my owner! You made me feel comfortable immediately and, in turn, mom felt at ease knowing I was in good hands. Your knowledge of animals, your compassion for rescues, and your sensitivity to not just individual breeds, but to each of our personalities, created a perfect blend of “people time” with you, socialization with friends close in play style to mine, and a balance of quiet time in my room with my own toys, my own blanket, and mom’s pillowcase. This loving combination allowed me to come home rested and relaxed and eager to incorporate back into “real life” in Kirkland. Your photos were proof to mom of the great time I had … as was the kiss I gave you from the car before my departure. I don’t kiss just anyone, you know! Thank you for being my new home away from home. Love and kisses, Benson
Dear Cindy,
I would like to thank-you very much for taking such special care of Baloo. This was the first time that he had ever been away from home and we were both a little anxious. It was also the first time that he had seen a dog or a horse for that matter- he is used to stalking much smaller furry animals; from behind the safety of a window of-course. Baloo even got to spend a little time with his buddy Peanut in the next room. All in all it was a great experience for both of us and I have recommended Mystic Mountain to all my friends! You are just great Cindy Thanks again, David and Baloo
Thanks from Stephen, Rochelle, and Buddy, Adia and Illusion. Cindy, Rochelle and I want to thank you. As long as we have been together our dogs have been our children, and when we lived near family we trusted only family members to take care of them. Now that we’ve moved up to Seattle it’s been hard to find someone we trust as much who we know the dogs will have a good time with. Until now that is. We’re incredibly happy with our experience, and so are the dogs. We can tell they enjoyed their time at Mystic Mountain Retreat, and your steady emails as well as the picture packet you gave us when we picked them up put our minds at ease. It really allowed us to enjoy our vacation not having to wonder “Gosh are the dogs ok? Are they happy or miserable?” We especially love the packet you gave us with the pictures of the dogs’ enjoying their stay. We have our vacation photos, they have theirs as well! It’s wonderful to get to see them looking so happy and playing, and gives us a pretty clear idea of the time they had! There are a lot of boarders out there to choose from. But Mystic Mountain Retreat’s play area, spacious sleeping areas and focus on the dogs’ individual needs (as well as the quirks of the owners :>) is a cut above the rest and worth every penny. We can’t wait to have our next trip, knowing that Buddy, Adia, and Illusion are going to get their own vacation with plenty of playtime and fun too. Thank you again so much. Stephen and Rochelle, Buddy, Adia, and Illusion!
Cindy,
Thank you so much again for taking such loving care of Driver - not to mention the wonderful photographs. You are a talented photographer as well!! Will be delighted to post your cards etc around campus. Donna
Cindy, thank you so much for the good care you took of our Ziza while she was with you. I can tell she had a good time with you, because when I picked up the car keys on Tuesday she wanted to go with me and she never has been interested in the car keys before. I asked her if she thought I was going to see Cindy and she started barking and making little jumps. She'll be glad to come back next time we travel! Thanks again, I can't tell you how much we appreciate it. Susan (and Ziza)

Conversation: recommendation, special needs boarding
Hi there, I just wanted to let everyone know about a new place that has opened up for pet boarding, specializing in special needs. I have always used a traditional kennel facility (never found a cage-free facility I was comfortable with) but our oldest dog is 14, slightly bowel incontinent, and sometimes has difficulty getting up, and falls easily.
Cindy Hill did a great job of providing not only for Yoshi's needs, but for our 4 year old lab as well. Her setup worked well for both of them, and while Comet got romps in the field with Cindy's Ridgeback and a day hike on the trails, Yoshi got a safe, comfortable environment with lots of love. I loved her general demeanor-- it was very calm and relaxing and our boys responded to that immediately. She has a genuine love for all animals, and I felt very comfortable leaving the boyz up there.
Her facility is rather secluded (in Monroe up small mountain with a big, twisty dirt road) but she does have a shuttle service to the eastside. I have tried several in home sitters in the past, but they have never worked out-- Yoshi always seemed so much more stressed than if we left him at a kennel (even when we tried some friends that Yoshi knew). So for those looking for an alternative to in-home care but something more than a traditional kennel, Mystic Mountain is a great alternative: http://www.mysticmountainretreat.com/
Hi Cindy, Just wanted you to know how impressed my wife and I were with your dog retreat and the exceptional care you provided to our three dogs. Rosie, Shy-Anna and Watson came home with shiny coats, in excellent health, happy & energetic...obviously they had a great time at Mystic Mountain Retreat. Thank you for the compassion, patience and care you provided to our dogs. Regards, KTKean
Dear Cindy,
Our dogs obviously had a wonderful time at Mystic Mountain Retreat - they didn't seem to We will definitely be bringing them back to stay with their 'Aunty Cindy' when we travel again. I particularly appreciated the photo montage you gave us of the dogs enjoying their stay - that was a delightful surprise and thoughtful gesture! Warmly, Lori
Cindy,
When I brought Lady to you for boarding, I was extremely distressed because I had been Based on the location of the first kennel, I scheduled Lady to be boarded. Two days prior to leaving on my vacation, the owner of her original placement called to inform me that her kennel was infected with kennel-cough. Having visited your kennel previously, I had been impressed with how you handled your animals and the care shown to the little sheltie in the harness. Your location was serene a the atmosphere was friendly. That cancellation turned out to be a blessing for Lady. Lucky for both lady and me, you had space in your kennel. She was very warmly received and I knew that she would be well cared for. I could see that you could connect with Lady and read her. I did not worry about leaving her. When I came to pick up Lady, she greeted me with a big smile! She was happy and she was content. I knew that you had cared for her just as you would care for your own animals. I have told all of my coworkers and friends about your facility and the intuitive way that you can connect with animals. I highly recommend your services for anyone needing pet care. I also love the pictures that you took of Lady. Thank you again for the kindness that you showed Lady and me. Sincerely, Yvonne For questions or reservations email Cindy Hill cindy@mysticmountainretreat.com or call at (360) 794-6388 hm, (425) 971-3527 cell. | ||
